1636 square meters, 86,500 inhabitants and about 24,000 refugees. These are the key figures for the third largest Greek island of Lesbos in the northern Aegean. Lesbos is only a few kilometres from the Turkish mainland, which is why many people have dared to cross to the island since 2015. They came from Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq and fled war and persecution.
But beside this Levos offers a wide variety of beautiful landscapes, cuisine etc.
